I deliver a series of CPD accredited trauma-informed workshops and training sessions designed to promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and nervous system regulation across school communities and within the home environment. If you're interested in a service please get in touch
Sessions are tailored for teachers, education staff, students and parents. They are designed to support teachers in supporting their mental wellbeing in their challenging profession, offering understanding and practical strategies for emotional regulation and fostering trauma-sensitive relationships with young people.
The workshops are grounded in principles from polyvagal theory, attachment theory, and trauma-responsive education with a focus on prevention, emotional safety, and long-term resilience.
I also deliver a specialist workshop on the physiology of domestic abuse — a vital and often overlooked area. This session explores the impact of coercive control and relational trauma on the brain and body, and equips participants with a deeper understanding of how trauma manifests physiologically — including implications for support, safeguarding, and trauma-informed communication.

The 5 Awakenings method is a very gentle yet powerfully profound trauma release modality designed to gently access and heal these imprints at their source.
The 5 Awakenings Sequence is easy to use and does not involve prolonged discussion. In fact, there is no need to talk about the presenting issue at all. While it is absolutely suitable for everyone, this is why it is especially effective to use with children and even adults who struggle with verbalising their emotions. In my practice, I have used it successfully with autistic children and adults who have found talking about their issues impossible or too distressing.
Somatic trauma-informed coaching is a compassionate and holistic approach to personal growth and healing. It recognises that trauma doesn’t just affect our thoughts – it also lives in the body. "Somatic" means body-based, so this method focuses on helping you become more aware of your physical sensations, nervous system responses, and the way your body stores stress and trauma.
Unlike traditional coaching that may focus purely on mindset or goals, somatic trauma-informed coaching works gently with the body's natural responses to stress, helping you build inner safety, resilience, and self-regulation. It gets deep into the root cause of why your mindset is not changing and your goals seem unattainable. It’s especially supportive if you’ve experienced overwhelm, burnout, or emotional wounds that talk-based approaches haven’t fully addressed.
This approach is not therapy, but it is informed by trauma science. It offers a safe, non-judgemental space where your experience is honoured, and you’re supported to make lasting, embodied changes at your own pace.
Counselling uses various talk-based approaches to help clients reflect on their emotional struggles. While it offers valuable insight and relief, the process is often more cognitive and doesn’t necessarily address the deeper emotional layers stored in the body.
Trauma-informed coaches incorporate body-centred approaches, such as somatic healing, nervous system regulation, and mindfulness, alongside more traditional coaching techniques. They often work with healing modalities, such as EFT, hypnosis, and others that allow clients to release deeply held emotional trauma in a way that talking alone cannot not reach. It focuses on helping clients move forward by integrating somatic healing practices to make space for the changes you desire and personal growth.
EFT, often called “tapping,” is a gentle, practical self-help method that combines elements of talk therapy with acupressure. By tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on a problem – whether it’s emotional, physical, or psychological – you can help reduce stress and restore balance to the body’s energy system. EFT is a very effective tool to relieve anxiety, fears, past trauma, limiting beliefs, and even physical discomfort.
EFT is simple to learn, can be done almost anywhere, and is a powerful tool for calming the nervous system and promoting emotional wellbeing. It is a tool you will take away after a series of sessions and will be able to use yourself without my guidance. In effect, I will teach you how to help yourself with any issues that come up so you will not need to keep coming back.
Trauma is an emotional response to an event or series of events that are deeply distressing or disturbing to an individual. This can range from one-time incidents, such as accidents, the loss of a loved one, natural disasters, or violent attacks, to ongoing stressors, such as illness, emotional abuse, divorce, bullying or living in a conflict zone.
As Dr. Gabor Mate, a renowned expert in the Trauma field, aptly puts it, “Trauma is not what happens to you; it is what happens inside of you as a result of what has happened to you.”
Trauma goes beyond the events themselves; it’s about how these events impact us internally. In essence, it disrupts our internal world and can have profound consequences on our mental and emotional well-being.
